Encompass Tutorial Services

Hello! I have loved being part of the Encompass team since I joined in September of 2023. After growing up in San Antonio, I started college at 16 years old through the Texas Academy of Math and Science, an early college entrance residential program on the University of North Texas campus. I went on to studying Classical Languages & Religious Studies at the University of Texas at Austin before getting my M.A. in History of Christianity at Yale University. I returned to UT Austin for my Ph.D. in Religious Studies and successfully defended my dissertation in 2023.

I have also been teaching students of all ages and at all levels of education since 2012. In the process, I learned that students’ struggles do not stop when they enter a classroom. In fact, the academic environment often draws attention to their strengths as well as their challenges. I became passionate about creating an equitable classroom for students to feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed academically and personally. 

I’ve carried the same passion into my work at Encompass. I’ve loved watching my students and clients utilize actionable strategies, challenge their negative self-talk, and navigate their daily lives with greater ease and less stress! I’m especially excited to be running the College Readiness Program to help students not only submit college applications more confidently, but also cultivate the skills they will need for transitioning into college.
