Easy and flexible to meet your needs.
Let’s get started
Step 1: Fill Out Our Submission Form or Schedule your Phone Consultation
Send us a submission form with your information and concerns so we can reach out to you or, if you are ready, go ahead and schedule a phone consultation and get started!
STEP 2: A Phone Consultation
During your complimentary initial phone consultation, we will learn about what prompted you to reach out, what you are observing with your child, what supports you may or may not have in place, and other contributing factors that may be impacting your child’s Executive Functioning (diagnoses, family dynamics, concerns with school, etc). We will also answer all of your preliminary questions so that you feel confident to pursue next steps.
STEP 3: The Executive Functioning Assessment
After your phone consultation, you and your child will meet virtually with Della Anderson, our Director of Student Services, for an Executive Functioning Assessment. This assessment is designed so that we are able to hear from your child about how they regard their Executive Functioning, motivation, and current academic experiences. We will assess their relationship to homework, current time management, organization, and study skills, subject strengths and weaknesses, and identity around grades. This will allow us to ascertain their current Executive Functioning strengths and weakness and to create a custom strategy based on their needs.
The assessment is an hour and will take place via Zoom. Della will then send you a comprehensive summary of the assessment and our recommended strategy, as well as professional recommendations including ways to better involve your child’s school, outside supports or therapy, and at home routines.
STEP 4: Weekly Virtual Sessions Begin
Your child will then be matched with the Encompass Specialist that is the best fit for their educational goals and personality. They will continue to meet individually with that same Specialist (this relationship is so important) once a week on a consistent schedule. If your child needs additional support, we can provide that on an as needed basis. We are currently holding all sessions virtually.
STEP 5: Next steps
After their sessions begin, you will have access to your child’s Specialist as well as Della to discuss your child’s progress and any further observations you see as they begin to develop their Executive Functioning skills. It is at this juncture that we can schedule any needed parent consultations, programs, or additional sessions. This is an organic process and it is our goal to always be tailoring our approach to best meet the ongoing and ever-evolving needs of your child and your family.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does billing work?
We bill on Fridays for all sessions rendered throughout the previous week. We accept credit cards and debit draws.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule our sessions?
Trust us, we get it! We know that life comes up and sometimes you have to cancel or reschedule a session. To avoid a late cancellation fee, we ask for 24 hours notice barring illness or emergency.
Are there package options?
Our model operates on the principal that each child’s needs are unique. It is for this reason that we do not offer packages, as each student responds differently to our support. To that end, we also do not require a minimum number of sessions. We provide the flexibility needed to pause sessions or to continue at any juncture in this process.
Where do we meet?
We are holding all of our sessions via Zoom.
When do we meet?
Your child will meet with their Specialist on the same day and at the same time weekly. We work 7 days a week, after school hours and on weekends. Once your child is matched with the Specialist that is the best fit for them, we will take into account your scheduling limitations and find a time that will work consistently for you given our availability.
Am I allowed at the sessions?
Our goal is to help your child develop the skills they need to be fully independent learners. It is for this reason that we ask that you do not attend their sessions. This will also give you the space you may need as well to mitigate any tension in the home. You can rest assured that we will make sure your child is being held accountable to the strategies we create for them each week. You will have access to these strategies and receive updates on their progress in the dashboard system we utilize in our sessions.
