OUR STUDENTS

Our students are bright and gifted, play sports, have hobbies, hang out with friends, and in many ways are typical teenagers. But they also have low executive functioning, making school and home life extremely difficult. They may struggle with ADHD, learning differences, and mental health issues that compound their low executive functioning. Having nothing to do with intelligence or capability, low executive functioning often results in missing assignments, disorganization, poor test scores, and inconsistent motivation. And, of course, not far behind come low grades, stress at school and at home, and excuses. We’re here to help.

We hear so often, “It just seems so easy for other people’s children to get their work in, remember due dates, stay organized, and quite frankly to care.” This notion that it should come naturally is reinforced in the classroom where these skills are implied and not explicitly taught.

We know, as parents, you have a lot to mange yourselves. That is why we make it easy for your child to get the best support for their needs. We traditionally meet once a week guaranteeing a consistent schedule at the same day, time, and location. We also value the importance of the relationship we form with our students, so your child will meet with the same tutor each week. We can come to your neighborhood, the only place we don't meet is in the home because we want to facilitate independence. We typically meet at local coffee shops or libraries. Our model is designed to get the maximum results with the most convenience for you.
